Did you know?
Since its construction in the early years of 1943, Patna, Bihar's Marwari Awas Griha has become ingrained in the hearts of its citizens. In the past 77 years, this colonial bungalow has been immaculately and painstakingly renovated and transformed to serve a great deal of guests. Originally it was a small house serving around 15 weary travellers with its palate-enhancing traditional Marwari Thali and furnished rooms at such moderate and inexpensive rates.
The MAG family currently has around 100 moderately luxurious and contemporary furnished rooms that serve the needs of all of our devoted guests, whether they are travelling for business or pleasure, spanning four generations of the family. They currently have a surrounding property of over 2 acres, making them the largest and oldest hotel in the state of Bihar, India.

By monitoring and regulating food safety, the FSSAI is responsible for protecting and enhancing public health. The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of the Indian government launched FSSAI. It was established in compliance with India's consolidated Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006, which governs food management and safety. Each Food Business Operator (FBO) in Bihar must register with the FSSAI.
Without a current food license from the FSSAI, one is unable to open any type of food business. All food units engaged in food-operating industries, such as processing, packaging, production, relabeling, marketing, import and distribution, or 100% export unit, are required to have a food license.

Depending on annual turnover, an FBO must either submit a Form A application to the FSSAI for registration or a FORM B application for a licence issued by the FSSAI. If your food business has an annual turnover of less than ₹12 lakhs then you have to register. Form A requires a state licence for businesses that have an annual turnover between ₹1 lakh and ₹20 crore. The applicant should provide a Form B to get a central licence if the annual turnover of the food business is above ₹20 crores.
It is mandatory to renew your FSSAI licence regularly. Having an expired licence may result in an unwanted penalty. The FSSAIlicence renewal has to be submitted using Form B to the relevant Central government authorities and all the state FSSAIauthorities.
The application has to be provided along with self attested documents and the application fee. Make sure that your business is in adherence to the rules and regulations of sanitary and hygiene practices outlined in Schedule 4 of licensing regulations. The food industry will be inspected by the FSSAI authorities and the FSSAI License renewal must be published by the competent licensing officials within 60 days.
Using a checklist, food safety officers assess the establishment and determine how well it complies with the rules, marking it as Compliance (C),Non-compliance (NC), Limited adherence (PC), Not important or noticeable (NA). The food safety officer may, in accordance with Section 32 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, issue an improvement notice in light of the aforementioned findings.
After giving the FBO a notice, the officer may cancel his licence if the FBO still refuses to abide by the notice. Any FBO may file an appeal with the State Commissioner of Food Safety if they are displeased with this notification. To challenge the ruling, an appeal may be filed with the Food Safety Appellate Tribunal or High Court.
The fines for various types of noncompliance are listed:
